After studying medicine my first job was scientific research at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. The study was about the influence of the human will on the healing process. In 1983 I started a practice in Nutritional Medicine including various methods to reduce stress and enhance wellbeing.

In my work I focus on the role of awareness, in health and wellbeing.

Integrating this approach with nutrition and excercise and at the same time monitoring the biological terrain. Making this internal environment visible for the patient, as a form of bio-feedback, seems especially helpful.

This is my version of “epigenetics in action”. (Epigenetics is a new discipline in biology that shows that it is not our genes that control life. In fact it turns out, that what we feel and think and how we perceive our reality, is what influences our genetic expression and shapes our biology).
